The New Home Company Announces Topaz at Esencia on Rancho Mission Viejo

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (March 6, 2018) – Just three months after the highly anticipated opening of its first two neighborhoods in the master-planned community of Rancho Mission Viejo, The New Home Company (NEW HOME, NYSE: NWHM) has announced the Model Home Grand Opening for Topaz on March 18, 2018.

Topaz joins Azure and Cobalt—both of which NEW HOME opened last November—in The NorthWalk Neighborhoods at Esencia on Rancho Mission Viejo.

While Azure and Cobalt offer attached and paired homes, Topaz will feature detached homes for growing and move-up families who may desire a more traditional single-family living experience. Set on homesites averaging almost 9,000 square feet, Topaz is a collection of 56 spacious residences designed by Bassenian Lagoni Architects in a wide array of floorplans with up to 4,420 square feet and up to four bedrooms and four and one-half baths. Prices are expected to begin in the mid $1 millions.

“With the addition of Topaz to our offerings in The NorthWalk Neighborhoods, we now have something for virtually every type of buyer looking for a new home in one of Southern California’s most desirable settings,” said Joan Marcus-Colvin, Chief Marketing Officer for NEW HOME. “There is a reason Rancho Mission Viejo is one of the top selling communities in the nation. It has world-class amenities, excellent schools, convenient access to employment centers and an overall exceptional quality of life. We’re looking forward to a successful opening at Topaz.”

Azure is comprised of two-story attached residences with contemporary townhome designs by Bassenian Lagoni Architects. The neighborhood offers a wide array of floorplans ranging from 707 to 1,619 square feet with one to three bedrooms and one to two and one-half baths. A limited number of the smallest homes remain available and are priced from the mid $300,000s with the remaining residences priced from the high $400,000s.

Cobalt, also designed by Bassenian Lagoni, showcases a range of three floorplans, many with optional loft spaces rare in similarly sized homes. The paired homes range from 1,223 to 1,527 square feet with two to three bedrooms and two and one-half baths. Cobalt is priced from the mid $500,000s.

Named for its location along the northern-most point of Esencia’s approximately 890 acres, the new NorthWalk Neighborhoods will offer backcountry panoramas and walkable pathways linking neighborhoods to The Backyard, a new 5.5-acre linear park dotted with an eclectic mix of amenities including covered loggias, fire pits, a zip rail, children’s play zones and playhouses, a DIY workshop, and an outdoor, social gathering place complete with BBQs, picnic tables and unique chandelier trees that create the perfect ambiance for a relaxing night on The Ranch with friends, family and neighbors. In addition, NorthWalk is planned to include a sports park with multiple athletic fields as well as an approximately 50-acre commercial center with retail shops and services, restaurants, and professional and medical offices.

The amenities of NorthWalk will join a lengthy list of recreational and social facilities already open for Rancho Mission Viejo residents to enjoy, including clubhouses, swimming pools and spas, community farms, water splash zones, picnic/grilling pavilions and event rooms with kitchens, a fully equipped fitness center, seasonal/special event bars, an adventure play park, miles of multi-use trails, tot lots, bocce ball and pickle ball courts, fire pits, a putting green, gardens and patio gathering places, a scenic oak canyon preserve and the Canyon Coffee coffeehouse.
