The New Home Company Announces Marywood Hills, a Collection of Luxury Residences with Unobstructed Views from Orange to the Pacific Ocean

ALISO VIEJO, CA (April 11, 2018) – Set on one of the most picturesque historic sites in central Orange County, The New Home Company (NEW HOME, NYSE: NWHM) announces Marywood Hills, a limited collection of 40 luxury single-family detached residences with dramatic views that stretch from the City of Orange to the Pacific Ocean. A Model Home Grand Opening is planned for Sunday, April 22, 2018.

The historical significance of the Marywood Hills property dates back more than 50 years when Marywood High School opened as an all-girls Catholic school in 1964. After the last class graduated in 1981, the complex became the pastoral center of the Diocese of Orange where the organization maintained its offices and operated a Retreat Center until 2013 when it moved to the Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove.

NEW HOME created Marywood Hills to fit into the existing fabric of the adjoining neighborhood, while honoring the cultural significance of the property. Many elements of the site’s original usage have been integrated into the design of the community’s entry monument where a bronze plaque tells its history. These include salvaged bricks from various buildings, a reassembled concrete screen wall from the high school quad, floral wall panels depicting lilies and concrete benches. Several mature trees that have stood on the site for decades remain in place for future residents of Marywood Hills to enjoy.

To help carry out its vision, NEW HOME engaged the highly regarded architectural firm of Bassenian Lagoni to design the luxurious, single-family homes that range from 3,800 to 4,400 square feet of living space on expansive homesites, with up to five bedrooms and five and one-half baths. Additional features include bonus rooms, loggias, offices, outdoor fireplaces and central courts. Prices are expected to range from the mid $1 millions to the low $2 millions.

With views spanning from Newport Coast to the south, Catalina Island to the west, and 180 degrees of city lights with fireworks from Disneyland and Anaheim Stadium by night, Marywood Hills will showcase some of the most highly anticipated view-oriented homes ever built in the City of Orange. Residents will enjoy the charming shops and restaurants of Old Town Orange and will be close to The Outlets, South Coast Plaza and Irvine Spectrum.

Marywood Hills will be served by local award-winning elementary, middle and high schools, and the community is just minutes from the thriving campus of Chapman University.

“Many years of planning and community outreach have fed into the vision for Marywood Hills,” said NEW HOME Chief Marketing Officer, Joan Marcus Webb. “We worked closely with the City of Orange and community groups to shape the plans for this neighborhood, and we are confident that these thoughtfully designed homes will add to the rich heritage of their location and that everyone in Orange will be proud of what is created here.”
